你好! I am Ms. Lee. I grew up in Taiwan, so Chinese is my mother tongue. I love my language, especially the characters! I remembered my birthday wishes were all about books when I was young. I even enjoyed reading the information on the shampoo bottles when I took a shower. With my passion for Chinese language, I decided to study Chinese Literature at National Taiwan Normal University, the very first teacher college in Taiwan. To introduce this language to more people, I taught at elementary schools, middle schools, and colleges before. I just received my master’s degree in Education and moved to Utah for this wonderful opportunity to teach at Renaissance this summer.
I love reading, playing the piano, and traveling in my leisure time. Meeting new people and learning from different cultures are always fascinating. I have been to Asia (of course), North America and Central America! I am excited to explore more about the Beehive State.
Can’t wait for a new school year with your kids at Renaissance!
Mrs. Sara Gardner
My name is Mrs. Sara Gardner and when I was in second grade I lost a lot of teeth, read the entire Bailey School Kids series and wore a different color of overalls everyday with a hair bow to match. My teacher, Mrs. Wilson, gathered us on the rug every afternoon to sing songs which is one of my happiest elementary school memories. I loved second grade then, and love it even more now!
I attended Utah State University, where I got my Elementary Education degree with a Music Emphasis. I taught first grade up in Salt Lake for a few years before I got married and moved to Utah County. This will be my second year at Renaissance Academy in the best grade on the planet! Ms. Lee and I have a lot of fun together!!
Music is my absolute favorite thing about life! I play lots of instruments but the piano is my favorite. I started teaching piano lessons last year and that's been a blast! I also enjoy puzzles, holidays, healthy eating, reading picture books, rainstorms, art projects and being outside (especially hiking!). This summer I've been learning Sign Language!!
